Fire warning system according to EN 54.
No cables, no building site.

Day care centres and schools need a fire warning system that reliably reaches every room, alerts everyone in the building in an emergency and does not keep the staff busy with false alarms. We plan and install wireless fire warning and alarm systems with EN 54 components: fire warning panel, manual call points, visual and acoustic sounders, radio input and output modules, smoke and heat detectors. On request with intrusion protection and photo verification.

Components

Everything a fire warning system needs.

Every component is certified according to the relevant part of EN 54 and talks to the panel via encrypted radio.

Fire warning panel

Fire warning panel

The heart of the system: supervises every detector, controls sounders and modules, reports to app, operator and on request to a monitoring centre. With backup power and two transmission channels.

EN 54-2EN 54-4LTE and Ethernet
Smoke detector in smoke

Smoke and heat detectors

Smoke detectors with a dual-spectrum sensor for group rooms, corridors and sleeping rooms, heat detectors for kitchen, craft room and technical rooms. Do not react to steam and dust.

EN 54-7EN 54-5Self-test
Red manual call point on the wall

Manual call points

Red manual call points at exits and in corridors. One press triggers the alarm throughout the building, with feedback to the panel and a log.

EN 54-11ResettableWireless
Smoke chamber of a detector

Visual and acoustic sounders

Sirens and strobes in every area so that nobody misses the alarm in the sleeping room, the gym or outdoors. Volume and tone sequence adjustable per room.

EN 54-3EN 54-23Indoors and outdoors
Radio module on the wall

Radio input and output modules

Integrate door holding magnets, ventilation, lift and existing detectors and pass the alarm on to building services or a superordinate system.

EN 54-18EN 54-25Dry contact
App with camera image

Intrusion protection with photo verification

On request we secure nursery and school against burglary at the same time: opening detectors, motion detectors with camera, arming by schedule, all in the same app.

Benefits at a glance

Safe for children, simple for the team.

Certified according to EN 54
Panel, detectors, call points and sounders meet the European fire detection standard. That is the basis for acceptance by building authority and insurer.
Wireless, no building site
Radio according to EN 54-25 instead of cable ducts through group rooms. Installation during the holidays or at a weekend, without dirt and noise.
Everyone in the building is alerted
Sirens and strobes in every area, door holding magnets release, management receives the alert with room details on their phone.
Fewer false alarms
Dual-spectrum sensors tell smoke from steam and dust, heat detectors in the kitchen. A false alarm with 60 children in the yard is expensive, we avoid it.
Photo verification if desired
Motion detectors with camera deliver image series on alarm outside care hours. Only on alarm, never during ongoing operation.
Log for operator and inspector
Every alarm, every test, every maintenance is documented. Extract for operator, fire safety officer and insurer at the touch of a button.
One app for management and operator
Management sees its building, the operator all facilities. Permissions per person, alerting by chain.
Maintenance without a ladder
The system tests itself and reports battery level and radio quality. Our technicians complete the annual inspection in one morning.
In an emergency

From detector to evacuation.

0 s
Smoke detected
Detector in the craft room reports to the panel, or someone presses the manual call point
1 s
Alarm throughout the building
Sirens and strobes in all areas, door holding magnets release
3 s
Alert with room
Management, operator and on request the monitoring centre see which detector triggered

Evacuation and fire brigade
Team evacuates according to plan, the monitoring centre or management alerts the fire brigade with exact location

Why wireless is the better choice in nursery and school.

A wired fire alarm system in an existing nursery means cable ducts through group rooms, drilling into fire walls, dust, noise and weeks with tradespeople in the building. For children and staff that is a burden, for the operator a cost risk.

Wireless systems with radio according to EN 54-25 achieve the same reliability: every link is supervised, every detector checks in several times a minute, faults are displayed immediately. Installation takes one to two days and can take place during the holidays or at a weekend.

If the facility grows, the system grows with it: new group rooms, an extension or the after-school club in the neighbouring building are integrated without new cables.

Standards and regulations

What EN 54 and DIN VDE V 0826-2 mean.

EN 54
European series of standards for fire detection systems. Every component has its own part: panel (54-2, 54-4), heat detectors (54-5), smoke detectors (54-7), manual call points (54-11), acoustic sounders (54-3), visual alarm devices (54-23), input and output modules (54-18) and radio links (54-25).
DIN VDE V 0826-2
German pre-standard for fire warning systems (BWA) in special buildings such as day care centres, schools and accommodation. It describes planning, installation and operation of a system made of EN 54 components that warns people in the building without the requirements of a full system according to DIN 14675.
DIN 14675
Standard for fire alarm systems with connection to the fire brigade. If the building authority requires such a system, we plan it with the same components and a certified installer, with fire brigade key depot and transmission device.
State building code and day care guidelines
Whether a fire warning system is mandatory is stated in the building permit, the fire protection concept or the requirements of the operator and the state youth welfare office. We read the documents and plan what is required, no more and no less.

Fire warning system or fire alarm system? The fire warning system warns the people in the building and reports to management, operator and monitoring centre. The fire alarm system is connected directly to the fire brigade and is subject to stricter requirements. We clarify which one your facility needs during the site visit with the fire protection concept in hand.

Frequently asked questions

What operators and managers ask.

What does a fire warning system for a kindergarten cost?

That depends on the number of rooms, detectors, call points and sounders and on the requirements in the fire protection concept. After the free site visit we name a written fixed price that the operator can budget. Prices on request.

Is a wireless system according to EN 54 even permitted?

Yes. EN 54-25 regulates exactly that: radio links in fire detection systems. The components are certified accordingly, every link is supervised. Fire warning systems according to DIN VDE V 0826-2 with radio components are common and recognised by building authorities and insurers.

Do we need a fire warning system or a fire alarm system?

That is stated in the building permit or the fire protection concept. Most nurseries need a fire warning system that warns the people in the building. A fire alarm system with direct connection to the fire brigade is required for larger buildings or special requirements. We check the documents free of charge.

How often are there false alarms?

Rarely, if the detectors are chosen correctly. Heat detectors belong in the kitchen, smoke detectors with a dual-spectrum sensor that ignore steam and dust in group rooms. We plan for candles in Advent or fog at the summer party.

Can the children trigger the manual call points?

The call points sit at a height of 1.40 metres behind a glass pane, as the standard requires. Accidental triggering is practically excluded, deliberate triggering is logged and can be reset without a technician having to come.

How long does installation take and when does it happen?

One to two days, during the holidays or at a weekend, without cables and without dust. At the end there is a test alarm with the team and on request an evacuation drill.

Can we get intrusion protection at the same time?

Yes. Opening detectors, motion detectors with camera and arming by schedule run in the same app. The cameras only deliver images on alarm outside care hours, never during ongoing operation.
